Holy Week starts tomorrow!
Here's a free resource with companion art, music from my twin sister, Sarah, and (you guessed it!) poetry for your study -
This reading plan, poetry, artwork, and music have been incredibly helpful to me in anticipating and celebrating Easter over the last couple of years. It starts with an evening reading on Palm Sunday (April 13th this year) and ends with a morning reading on Easter Sunday. I will give some commentary through my reels on Instagram and here on Substack! So check back here during the week if you’re interested in following along.
This Digital Download is exclusive to the email list! Thank you for signing up for emails. I take very seriously your generosity in sharing your email address with me.

Sarah Sparks is my talented twin sister. She is a singer-songwriter in Maui, HI, and often creates the beautiful background tracks of my poetry on Instagram. She created the companion music for this study, "Risen, Pt. Two," and it’s available on iTunes and Spotify. Don’t miss listening to it this week. The lyrics and music are beautiful. It’s good all 52 weeks of the year, but especially good this week.
Another resource for you! I made this companion study for kids and parents to do together - the same Bible readings in NLT, coloring pages, and suggested activities. Again, it’s free to you, you lucky dogs!
If you are interested in digital or mailed prints of this year’s artwork, head to the Etsy Store! First come, first serve for the mailed prints. They sometimes go fast. So snatch them up quick if you’re interested!
A quick note: I’m a human with many hats and a slightly delusional sense of how much I can get done in a day. As you notice typos, broken links, or run into any trouble downloading the study or artwork, please let me know. Thank you for your grace!
And lastly, a poem from The Meal I Eat, the reading for Wednesday of Holy Week:
You said, “This is my body Broken for you This is my blood Poured out for you.” And in a new way, I am full. Your body broken makes mine whole. In the valley of the shadow of death, My cup overflows. For I have tasted the sweetness of your sacrifice. My dry bones have awakened to this food and drink of life.
P.S. Other ideas for making these emails worth opening? Let me know!
